The Garden Lounge
For all your senses
The Garden story started here in Zadar in 2004 and we are very proud to still be here on the old city walls.

The Garden chronicles started here in Zadar back in 2004, and we are very proud to still be perched on the old City Walls.

We have watched Zadar bloom and grow over the years and the magic that brought us here 18 years ago holds true to this day. Now pedestrianised, this part of the peninsula just got even better.

During the long summer days, you are invited to enjoy some respite from the Zadar’s hot bustling streets to watch the world pass you by slowly across the harbour. The sounds of Adriatic Coasting will fill the air, providing a musical backdrop to suit the mood. After dark, when the temperature’s cool, our resident selectors will turn up the tempo, along with our amazing line-up of guest DJs.

We serve a small selection of local wines, sumptuous cocktails, fresh juices, as well as a variety of our very own craft beers fresh from the source at The Garden Brewery.

In 2021 the food at The Garden Lounge is brought to you by chef Marko Palfi. His mantra is simple: serve up the essence of Dalmatian cuisine with top quality local produce.

We cannot wait to share this little bit of paradise with you all this summer.

The Garden Resort
A musical paradise
The Garden Resort is true musical paradise nestled on the idyllic Dalmatian coastline. Blessed with the azure Adriatic Sea, sizzling sunshine and starlit midnight skies, the intimate setting welcome music lovers from around the world to an incredible series of festivals each summer.

The site is home to three distinct different, but equally loved music stages. The Beach Stage, set on the cosy curl of the shore overlooking the bay is so close to the sea you’ll be practically dancing in it - in fact, you probably will - and it is undeniably the place to be as the sun sets. At the heart of the site, the Main Stage hosts headlining acts and incredible visuals, whilst the nearby Olive Grove stage nestled in the trees is a treasured favourite among many festival revellers.

Out on the glistening water itself is the majestic centenarian wooden ship/boat, our old faithful since day dot - The Argonaut. Hundreds of very special, unparalleled parties have been hosted on these decks, with thousands of memories born on the Adriatic.

The accommodation comprises of apartments, mobiles homes, glamping and basic camping, so whatever your needs and wants are, we’ve got you covered. The mini Tisno train runs on a loop between the festival entrance and the town centre throughout the day and into the evening, making it an easy and fun way to beat the heat. Though the walk to the bridge in Tisno is only 20 minutes. Please note that Tisno town is both positioned on the mainland and on Murter island. The bridge which joins to the is raised at 9AM and 5PM every day for 30 minutes to allow for boats to pass through.

Beyond the festival delights, you’ll be a short boat ride away from the Kornati Islands National Park, with the historic cities of Zadar, Šibenik and Split close by. Take a trip and swim in the emerald green waterfalls and natural pools of Krka National Park. And last but not least, visit the enchanting Plitvice Lakes National Park, where Croatia’s abundance of natural splendour is just waiting to be explored.

Barbarellas Discotheque
Dance under the stars
It was our dream to provide a space for everyone to dance under the stars until dawn, and we made all of our dreams come true with Barbarella’s Discotheque. The universal response from all festival goers to this magical outdoor venue has been breath-taking and assured its place in the clubbing history books.

When the music stops at The Garden Resort, the after-hours action moves to Barbarella’s, located just up the coast in Pirovac. It’s a short journey from The Garden Resort to Barbarella’s and is easily reachable by car, taxi or speedboat, plus the Barbarella’s shuttle bus runs at regular intervals throughout the night.

Whichever way you get here, the open-air party will continue underneath the stars until the sun comes up. Equipped with a Funktion-One sound system, this atmospheric venue is famed for its magical parties and has hosted some other-worldly sets from the world’s biggest and best DJs.

The garden Hideaway
Relaxation and Rejuvenation
Tucked away in the high ranges of Kerala, this could be your secret hideaway.

Spending your holiday, or at least part of it, in privacy is the most illusive of luxuries in India, always had merit but was never really possible in Kerala, one of India's most densely populated states. Now it is! At the Garden Hideaway, a 5 acre property with only 2 guest cottages, located in a small valley in the high ranges between Kerala and Tamil Nadu, this is exactly what you get: an escape from the hecticism of India.

The Garden Hideaway is perfectly suited for one or two couples or a small family, Indian or non-Indian, who want to get away from the crowds of India, for people, for instance honeymoon couples, who would like to enjoy their holiday in privacy, for anyone wanting a stay that is low impact on the environment, fauna and flora, and for foodies who enjoy the luxury of having vegan or vegetarian meals prepared especially for them.

The unique guest accommodation consists of the Teak House, a 200 year old traditional Kerala backwater wood house with bedroom, living room, kitchen, sitout and external bathroom that was relocated and renovated in 2018. And there is the Stone Cottage, created in 2010 from hand-chipped stone and locally sourced materials, with bedroom, bathroom and sitout.

The property around the buildings is as much for animals as it is for humans. Giant squirrels, Indian palm squirrels, slender lorises, civet cats, flying foxes and around 100 different bird species are found in the tree tops. In the undergrowth we have spotted wild boar, mouse deer, barking deer, mongoose, porcupine and the occasional leopard. The property has three parts: the Teak House is located in the 1 acre garden, the Stone Cottage is in the 2 acre forest, and, finally, there is a 2 acre food forest under development.
