The Garden chronicles started here in Zadar back in 2004, and we are very proud to still be perched on the old City Walls.
We have watched Zadar bloom and grow over the years and the magic that brought us here 18 years ago holds true to this day. Now pedestrianised, this part of the peninsula just got even better.
During the long summer days, you are invited to enjoy some respite from the Zadar’s hot bustling streets to watch the world pass you by slowly across the harbour. The sounds of Adriatic Coasting will fill the air, providing a musical backdrop to suit the mood. After dark, when the temperature’s cool, our resident selectors will turn up the tempo, along with our amazing line-up of guest DJs.
We serve a small selection of local wines, sumptuous cocktails, fresh juices, as well as a variety of our very own craft beers fresh from the source at The Garden Brewery.
In 2021 the food at The Garden Lounge is brought to you by chef Marko Palfi. His mantra is simple: serve up the essence of Dalmatian cuisine with top quality local produce.
We cannot wait to share this little bit of paradise with you all this summer.

The accommodation comprises of apartments, mobile homes, glamping and basic camping so there is an option for all budgets. The Kornati Islands are just a short boat ride away, with the historic cities of Zadar, Šibenik and Split close by. And don’t forget the natural beauty and wonder of Krka National Park – where you can swim in the emerald green waterfalls – as well as the enchanting Plitvice Lakes National Park, where Croatia’s abundance of natural splendour is just waiting to be explored.
The site is home to three distinctly different, but equally loved music stages. The Beach stage, set on the cosy curl of shore overlooking the bay is so close to the sea you are practically dancing in it, and is undeniably the place to be as the sun is setting. The site’s main stage can be found at the heart of the site and is perfect for headline acts, whilst nearby, nestled between the trees is the Olive Grove stage – a treasured favourite amongst many festival revellers.
Out on the water itself is the majestic 107 years old wooden boat – The Argonaut – which has hosted hundreds of memorable and very special parties out on the Adriatic, with thousands of music lovers enjoying the experience of a lifetime.
The Mini-Tisno-Train runs on a loop between the festival entrance and centre of town throughout the day and into the evening, which is an easy and fun way to beat the heat, although the walk to the bridge in Tisno is only 20 minutes (note :Tisno town is positioned on the mainland and on Murter island and joined by a bridge which is raised at 9am and 5pm each day for 30 mins for boats to pass through)
When the music stops at The Garden Resort, the action moves to Barbarella’s, our world-famous after-hours club located just up the coast in Pirovac. It’s a short journey from The Garden Resort to Barbarella’s and easily reachable by car, taxi or speedboat plus the Barbarella’s shuttle bus runs at regular intervals throughout the night.
However you get here, the open-air party will continue underneath the stars until the sun comes up. Equipped with a Funktion-One sound system, this atmospheric venue is famed for its great parties and has hosted some magical sets from the world’s biggest and best DJs.
Our brewery taproom serves super fresh beer right from the source, 5 core beers and our latest specials and collabs. From easy drinking Pales to Imperial Stouts, from Sours to our much-loved Milkshake IPA – if in doubt ask and we’ll recommend or take a taster flight and enjoy them all in the impressive industrial redbrick warehouse space with 14-metre high ceilings with the aromas of fresh malts and hops.
As always music plays a key role: the taproom has a top-quality sound system and late license. Musical content is curated by our very own Adriatic Coasting agency with DJ and live music events beneath the giant glitterball. Some recent names at the taproom include DJ Jazzy Jeff , Norman Jay MBE, Andy Weatherall RIP, Grandmaster Flash, Soil & Pimp, Gerd Jansen, Prins Thomas, Lee Scratch Perry & Mad Professor, Pharoahe Monch…
Of course if you cannot make it to our taproom you can buy from our online shop and have fresh beer delivered direct to your door.
